Family Time

This Saturday (Sabbath), we were glad to have a number of friends and family over for a relaxing meal, fellowship and fun. . . . and some great food. Fina brought a eggplant dish- asian eggplants with onions and a very tasty sauce. (Eggplant is my favourite food, by the way).
Mom made chow mein- her specialty, and aga-sushi (brown bags) which disappeared almost instantly. Rosemary made a noodle dish, Tim & Adelia made their special dressing for their salad, Leyanne brought some cookies- we licked up the crumbs, Karen brought 2 kinds of lasagne. . . .

As well Peter and Jessica were in town, Jessica has a Music Teachers convention to attend. It was really nice to visit with them as well. They are living in St Louis Missouri and drove up the 14 hours from there to be here for a few days. Uncle Dave was also there, as was Yecy and her two girls.

Signs of Age

A group of people decided to go ice skating on Saturday night. Kevin and Jackie, Greg, Justin. Some friends from church, etc. arrived before we did. I had to go back to the car to get my wallet. The sign listed prices for family, youth, adult, senior.

I stepped up to the woman at the admission booth…. “What am I? I guess I’m an adult/”

“You could be a senior.”

Rosemary asks, “How old do you have to be to be a senior?”

“55.”

Rosemary says, “He’ll be 55 next week.”

The woman say, “Well, that’s close enough, I’m going to give you the senior price.”

“I don’t want to be a senior,” I said handing her a five dollar bill.

“Well, you’re getting the senior price.”

I looked at the change and saw that she had indeed only charged me the senior price.

conversion

I’ve decided to convert this blog to a personal blog and the turfkinghamilton.blogspot.com will be more lawn and business related.
